To use this calculator you need to know:
- your current grade
- the weight of the final
- the grade on the final
This calculator will take the ratios of the known grades and weigh them accordingly to come up with the final grade in the course.
How does this calculator work?
The calculation to determine the final grade in a class is the following:
(((Current grade/100)(1-Weight of Final/100))+(Grade on Final/100)(Weight of Final/100)))*100
For example, lets say you have a 90 in the class before the final, the final exam weighs 20% and you got a 95. The equation would become:
(((90/100)(1-20/100))+(95)(20/100)))*100
This gives an average in the class of 91%.
